Video Shows Thieves Roll Out of Dealership Front Doors With Four Harleys

honestly this video is something else
Four guys broke into a Harley-Davidson dealership in Kokomo, Indiana at 3:22 in the morning, walked onto the showroom floor in full motorcycle gear, picked out their bikes, started them up, and literally just… rode out the front door. like it was nothing.
NBC News has the surveillance footage and its genuinely surreal to watch. The whole operation takes maybe two minutes. Everyone knows exactly what theyre doing. One guy unlocks the door while the other three are already walking toward the bikes they want.

The bikes they took: one 2020 Street Glide Special and three 2021 Street Glide Specials. Combined value over $95,000. RideApart notes that these bikes use key fobs, not mechanical keys, which raises the question of how they got them started so fast.
theres a few possibilities here. Harley-Davidsons have a security pin backup for when you lose your key fob – the factory default has historically been 31313. if the dealership never changed it and the thieves knew that… well. alternatively the fobs might have been nearby, maybe zip-tied to the bikes for test rides?
the footage shows them heading southbound on State Road 931 after exiting. all four wearing “concealable clothing and motorcycle helmets” according to police – smart for hiding their identities, i suppose, though id like to think they were also just being safety conscious lol
Jalopnik pointed out something hilarious – watch the last guy leaving. he uses his turn signal. properly signals before turning onto the road. even when stealing $95k worth of motorcycles, some people still follow traffic laws apparently.
no arrests have been made. motorcycles havent been recovered. Kokomo Police are asking anyone with info to call 765-456-7017 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-TIPS. theres potentially a cash reward.
Kokomo is about 60 miles north of Indianapolis, population around 58,000. WTHR has the video if you want to watch it.
someone said this looked like a scene from a heist movie and honestly? yeah. but in heist movies usually the cameras dont work this well.
