Xbox Partner Preview Had Eminem Hiring an Assassin to Kill His Younger Self and I Need to Talk About It

Xbox had their Partner Preview showcase on November 20th and honestly the whole thing was kind of surreal. 30 minutes of third party announcements. Nine games coming to Game Pass day one. Five brand new reveals. But the thing everyone is talking about is the Hitman mission where Eminem hires Agent 47 to assassinate Slim Shady.
Thats not a joke. Thats actually happening. In Hitman World of Assassination. Real Eminem. Hiring you to kill his alter ego. Because apparently Slim Shady has become “a separate violent entity” that the real Eminem is afraid of. December 1st. Free mission.
I dont even know what to say about that. Its either the greatest crossover in gaming history or the weirdest. Maybe both. Probably both.
Other stuff that happened: Vampire Survivors studio Poncle announced Vampire Crawlers. First person deckbuilding roguelike dungeon crawler. Same chaotic energy as Vampire Survivors but in a completely different genre. Coming to Game Pass day one obviously.
Raji Kaliyuga got announced which is a sequel to that Indian mythology action game from 2020. Switching from isometric to third person. Armatus is a new action roguelike set in demon infested Paris from the Godfall devs. Crowsworn finally showed up again after being in development forever.
Dave the Diver is on Xbox now btw. Released same day as the showcase. That game is still incredibly good if you somehow missed it. New expansion called In The Jungle coming early 2026.

007 First Light showed off the Aston Martin Valhalla with guns. Tides of Annihilation had a full boss fight trailer. Reanimal from the Little Nightmares devs is coming February 2026. Theres a Lovecraft co-op horror game called The Mound that actually looks creepy.
Everything shown is Xbox Play Anywhere which means console PC and handheld with one purchase. Good for the ROG Ally and Steam Deck crowd.
But yeah. Eminem vs Slim Shady in Hitman. Thats the headline. Thats what were all going to remember from this show. Gaming is weird and I wouldnt have it any other way.
