Racing Star Miguel Oliveira Marrying Step Sister After Keeping Romance Secret
Look I’m gonna be real with yall. When I saw this headline I did a triple take. MotoGP star Miguel Oliveira married his step-sister. And theyre having a baby. And apparently theyve been together for ELEVEN YEARS without anyone knowing. Wild.
Heres the deal. The 26-year-old Portuguese rider met Andreia Pimenta when they were both 13. His dad married her mom and suddenly they were living under the same roof as step-siblings. According to DNA India, what started as friendship eventually turned into something more.
“Before love there was a great friendship” Oliveira told Portuguese TV. “At some point we realized that it was more than a friendship it is a very strong love.”
Now look. I can already hear people typing up their hot takes. But before you go there – theyre not blood related. At all. They became step-siblings as teenagers. Its unusual sure. Definitely raises some eyebrows. But its also their life and their choice and honestly who am I to judge what makes two consenting adults happy.
They got married in July and then announced on Instagram that Pimenta is pregnant with their first child. “Our lives now go on with a special companion” Oliveira wrote. “The role that will last our entire life that of being parents.”
His dad seems supportive too. Paulo Oliveira told Spanish newspaper Marca “Im happy that my son is getting married to the woman of his life.” When your parent is cool with it thats… something. Not everyone would handle this situation with such grace.
On the track Oliveira has been killing it. Won his first MotoGP race in Styria last year. Riding for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. The guy can clearly compartmentalize his personal and professional life because nobody knew about this relationship while he was building his career.
