Paul Rudd appeared in a Heineken ad promoting Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. The man never ages and apparently never turns down a brand partnership that makes sense.
The commercial plays on Ant-Man shrinking abilities with Heineken products because of course it does. The obvious pun is the entire point.
Ad Age covered the campaign and its Super Bowl adjacent timing.
Rudd has this ability to make advertising feel less like advertising. His natural charm translates even when hes clearly doing a contractual obligation.
Marvel marketing partnerships generate massive reach because the audience is built in and engaged.
The Heineken relationship with the MCU isnt new. Theyve done Iron Man promotions before. Alcohol brands love superhero tie-ins despite the awkward fit of selling beer alongside family entertainment.
Rudd probably got paid extremely well for what amounts to a days work. The economics of celebrity endorsement make sense for everyone involved except maybe consumers health.
The ad itself is fine. Nothing groundbreaking. Just Paul Rudd being charming near beer products. Thats the formula and it works.
