Bhediya if you havent been following is the Varun Dhawan horror-comedy about a man who gets bitten by a wolf and well you can probably guess where it goes from there. Think werewolf movie with Bollywood flair. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik who gave us Stree – another horror-comedy that became a surprise hit.
The Arunachal Pradesh setting was a deliberate choice. The northeastern state has these incredible forests and landscapes that most Indian films never explore. Shooting there gave Bhediya a visual identity completely different from the usual Mumbai and European locations we see in Bollywood.
