Khloé Kardashian spared no expense for her intimate birthday party on Saturday, from the “major” décor to her outfit for the festivities: a custom sheer gold minidress created by celebrity favorite Yousef Al-Jasmi.
Worth $2,500, the reality star’s birthday frock sparkled with over 3,000 crystals and took two weeks to make, the Kuwait-based designer told Page Six Style.
“Khloé’s team gave me free reign to custom-create a look, which is why I love working with them,” he added. “They really trust me to create a bespoke piece.”
Al-Jasmi is responsible for some of the star’s most memorable outfits, including the shimmering gown and matching headpiece she wore to sister Kourtney’s 40th birthday celebration last year. At the time, he told us Kardashian “was super involved throughout the whole design process,” even sending inspiration photos to use as reference for the look.
And for Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner’s “Great Gatsby”-themed 60th birthday bash in 2015, Al-Jasmi whipped up opulent ’20s-inspired gowns not only for Khloé, but also for her younger siblings Kendall and Kylie.
“Since this was not Yousef’s first time creating a look for Khloé, he knew exactly what she wanted — an empowering look that shows off every curve,” the designer’s team shared.
