The Iron Cross Trailer Puts a Sick Twist on The Puppet Master Legend

Full Moon Features has unveiled the first full length trailer for Blade: The Iron Cross. The long-awaited movie picks up directly after the events of Puppet Master: Axis Termination and it looks crazy. For decades, horror fans have asked for a solo movie focused on the hook-handed maniac puppet, Blade, and now Full Moon has delivered the goods with the first standalone feature debut for one of its most beloved characters. This first look at the movie is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Charles Band’s Puppet Master series continues as an unspeakable evil from Blade’s past emerges in the form of a murderous Nazi scientist named Dr. Hauser. As Hauser’s heinous crimes are discovered, the psychic war journalist, Elisa Ivanov, awakens Blade, and together the bloody journey of revenge begins. It’s Herr Hauser’s reanimated undead army versus a possessed doll and a beautiful vengeance-seeking clairvoyant. Who will win, and how will it affect the Full Moon Universe? There’s a lot of questions that are just begging to be answered in Blade: The Iron Cross

.

RELATED: Blade: The Iron Cross Trailer Keeps The Puppet Master Legacy Alive

The Blade: The Iron Cross trailer is a B-movie bloodbath with violence crammed into nearly every frame. In other words, it sounds exactly like one would come to expect from Full Moon Features. How about a Nazi scientist stepping on a path to vengeance with tons of blood or a journalist employing the Leader of the Marionette Warriors to take down the Third Reich? It’s all here and it’s insane. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer to see the movie.

Horror master John Lechago is behind the camera for Blade: The Iron Cross, while Roger Barron wrote the script. The project is the first-ever standalone in the Puppet Master series, which is exactly what fans have been waiting for. Full Moon Features CEO Charles Band released a statement about the project which you can read below.

“The Puppet Master films are pivotal in the Full Moon Features legacy. Not only are they favorites among our fans, but they remain the most successful direct-to-video movie franchise in history and they have always been a joy for us to create. Especially during this uncertain time, we couldn’t be more thrilled to give our fans the standalone Blade feature they have been waiting for.”

Blade: The Iron Cross will make will stream on the Full Moon Features channel and app starting on June 26th. The movie was originally going to come out in December 2019, but it was delayed to perfect the visual effects. While we’re looking at some true B-movie grade elements, the special effects do look pretty incredible, especially when you see Blade slice through a Nazi and come out of his chest. It’s the violent birth-like scene you didn’t know you needed to see. You can check out the trailer for Blade: The Iron Cross above, thanks to the Full Moon Features YouTube channel.

Whether you’re ready or not for HBO Max, HBO Max’s release date is almost here. Expanding upon HBO Now’s library of HBO hits and licensed movies with mega-popular series like Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Doctor Who, HBO Max is poised to make some waves in the streaming wars. The new service will cost the same as HBO Now — $14.99/month — but will offer consumers a whole lot more. And lucky for us, HBO Max will be available soon. The streaming service’s launch date is upon us!

HBO Max is WarnerMedia’s big foray into the Streaming Wars, the phrase used to describe the ferocious rush that tech companies and entertainment conglomerates have made into launching OTT streaming services. While Netflix remains the heaviest hitter in this universe, Disney managed to successfully launch Disney+ last fall, while investing even more in Hulu’s content library. WarnerMedia is clearly hoping to follow in Disney’s footsteps by leveraging the HBO brand name as the centerpiece of its new service. HBO’s massive library of critically-acclaimed originals and licensed box office hits will now be joined by popular hit shows, even more hit films, and a slate of HBO Max originals that includes Anna Kendrick’s Love Life

, ballroom competition show Legendary, and sweet children’s show, The Not Too Late Show with Elmo.

So when can you get HBO Max? What time will HBO Max be live? And how long do you have to wait to embark on yet another Friends binge? Here’s everything you need to know about when HBO Max debuts.

'Tiger King' parody star Richard Kind thinks Carol Baskin was 'proactive'

“Tiger King” star Carole Baskin certainly has plenty of enemies.

But Richard Kind, who’s set to appear in a musical video parody that delves into whether Carole attempted to kill her second husband, admires her.

“There are people I want dead right now, I’m not gonna murder them. She did something about it. She was proactive,” said Kind, who’ll play her current husband, Howard, in Tony-nominated composer Andrew Lippa’s “Tiger King: The Musical (A Parody!).”

The ongoing spoof has so far starred Frankie Grande and < a target="_blank" href="https://nypost.com/2020/04/10/kristin-chenoweth-is-a-singing-carole-baskin-in-tiger-king-the-musical/?_ga=2.46098532.1944979339.1590516714-1787833842.1590516714" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kristin Chenoweth

in online home videos as singing “Tiger King” characters during the lockdown.

Kind thinks Bette Midler would also make a great Carole. Nicolas Cage is starring in a planned TV miniseries version of “Tiger King,” and Kind said, “There is an element of bizarreness [about Cage] that I think intersects with Joe Exotic.”

Kind also starred in the recent movie “The Social Ones,” about social-media “influencers,” but he admitted, “I joke that I had children because I needed tech support.”
