Chelsea take on London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day (AP)

Arsenal will hope for a drastic change in fortunes on Boxing Day when they take on London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League.

Having won one of their last 10 league games, Mikel Arteta’s side have slumped into a relegation battle, with the Gunners only four points clear of safety and facing a desperate lack of confidence that showed no signs of improving in their 4-1 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat by Manchester City in midweek.

Chelsea, on the other hand, put their recent rough patch behind them with an impressive 3-0 win over West Ham last weekend that had kept them on the fringe of the top four, with only a point separating them from a place among the Champions League-qualifying positions.

Chelsea are expected to be without Hakim Ziyech as he continues to struggle with a hamstring problem, while both Reece James and Ben Chilwell are doubtful due to ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Arsenal to win: 3/1

Chelsea to win: 19/20

Draw: 27/10

Rarely has it been the case at the Emirates that a draw is more likely than a home win, but that sums up the low morale at Arsenal right now and Chelsea are likely to feed off that with ease. With Lampard’s side setting their sights on the top four, Arsenal are unlikely to be able to get in their way. Arsenal 1-3 Chelsea
