Man shot by romantic rival reveals killer’s identity on deathbed

A man fatally shot by his girlfriend’s ex identified the killer to cops on his deathbed, police sources said Wednesday.

The 34-year-old victim was shot in the chest around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Gowanus Houses after his girlfriend’s former flame, Rudolph Riley, 28, caught him at her apartment, the sources said.

Riley had brought the former couple’s 2-year-old son home to her Hoyt Street apartment a day earlier than he was supposed to, causing a fight between him and the woman.

That’s when Riley allegedly barged into her sixth floor unit and shot his rival twice, the sources said.

The dying man told cops Riley shot him before being pronounced dead on arrival at Lutheran Hospital, sources said.

Riley was apprehended by cops who had his description a short time later. He hadn’t been formally charged as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.
