Juanes Won Latin Grammy Person Of The Year Award: He said “it’s His Greatest Achievement”

Colombian superstar Juanes celebrated last night in 2019 for winning the Latin Grammy “Person Of The Year” Award from Latin Recording Academy. Juanes is a singer, songwriter, and philanthropist.

Last night, Juanes is honored at the MGM Grand Convention Centre in Las Vegas. He is honored to appreciate his contribution to Music and Philanthropy. Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Carlos Santana, and Shakira were the post honorees of this award.

The award recognizes Juanes generous support of emerging artists and the singer’s humanitarian efforts. In the thank you speech, Juanes said 20 years ago he was nominated as a new artist. And now he is receiving the ” person of the year” award, he said it’s the greatest achievement of his career.

About 19 Years Career of Juanes

In the 19-year career, Juanes has won a total of 24 Latin Grammys. In 2000, the 47-year-old debuted with Fíjate Bien his first album “Take a Good Look”. This makes the singer earn three Latin Grammy awards, including Best New Artist.

Two years later, he released his second album, the pop-heavy Un día normal. This means ” A Normal Day”. The album included the songs that the signature song of Juanes. These songs are A Dios le Pido (I Ask God) and Fotografia (Photograph). Fotografia a duet with Canadian star Nelly Furtado.

Luckily, it leads to more success on the way of Juanes. The second album earned five awards at the 2003 Latin Grammys. It also won Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

In 2004, Juanes released another album Mi Sangre (“My Blood”) which also won multiple Latin Grammy winners.
