Joe Joyce has expressed his intentions after the big fight on November 28. The undefeated fighter has shared his preferred plan of action if he can get the win over Daniel Dubois. The two will fight in what some consider as the defining fight for both their careers. The duo are still in relatively early days in their professional career; however, Joyce is wasting no time in plotting to take over the division.
Speaking to Dev Sahni on Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions’ YouTube channel, Joyce was asked about his plans post Daniel Dubois. Sahni asked him if he would be interested to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the WBO title if Anthony Joshua has to vacate it. The ‘Juggernaut’ was more than willing. He said, “Yea definitely. It’s a big rematch ain’t it.”
He added, “He’s a skillful fighter, good head movement, footwork, and that would be a difficult fight. He’s southpaw as well… And yea, it would be a fun fight.
Joyce said that he would be a much better fighter now. “I cringe when I watch it back. No head movement, just taking pure punches and walking forward. So, yea, it would be a bit more… I’d have a lot more tactics going into this next one.”

Why would Joe Joyce have to Face Oleksandr Usyk for the Title?
Oleksandr Usyk is mandatory with the WBO and is next in line for the title. Daniel Dubois is ranked highly with the WBO, and if Joe Joyce could beat him, he could earn a higher place. There have been talks of an Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight, which would mean Joshua would have to vacate the WBO belt.
In such a case, Usyk and another highly ranked fighter from the same body will fight for the vacant title. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. However, Joyce first needs to dispatch Daniel Dubois for any of this to come to fruition.
