The beauty queen wife of drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman looks solemn in her newly-released mugshot, as she faces life behind bars following her arrest on drug trafficking charges Monday.

Emma Coronel Aispuro, 31, is set to appear before a federal judge in Washington, D.C., at noon Tuesday. She faces life in prison if convicted on the charges, a spokesperson for the Department of Justice said.

Coronel was booked on Monday into a local jail in Alexandria, Virginia, which has a deal with the US Marshals to house federal inmates, a spokesperson said.

She was busted Monday at Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia on charges of participating in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana for importation into the US.
