Disturbing video shows woman falling off NYC fire escape

Shocking video captures the moment a woman fell three stories from a Bronx apartment-building fire escape after tussling with a man through a window.

The 35-year-old victim was critically injured by the fall from the Marion Avenue building in Fordham Manor around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Cops on Monday said a 29-year-old man reported to police that the woman, who was wielding a knife, climbed the fire escape and began to hit a window while making threats.

The glass window cracked, and the man opened it and grabbed the knife before the woman fell, police said. The woman and the man know each other, police said, although their relationship was not immediately clear.

The dramatic 15-second video — taken by a bystander, posted to Facebook and confirmed by police as being from the incident — shows her tussling with the man through the window before she fell.

“What the f–k,” the bystander says during the incident, according to the video.

The woman hit the fire escape one story below before belly-flopping to the ground, the footage shows.

She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical but stable condition. Her condition was later upgraded to stable, authorities said.

No arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing, the NYPD said.
